I was fortunate enough to take part in Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year 2024 as a Wild Card at Dunnottar Castle, Aberdeenshire, which was screened today, 10th January (Series 9 Episode 1).

It was a fantastic experience, challenging for me as someone who had only once previously painted en-plein air, and with the additional distraction of TV cameras and a ticking clock, with just 4 hours to complete our work.

​

However I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys painting and wants a challenge, and congratulations to @kristina_chan on winning the heat and I'm looking forward to watching the rest of the series.
